BSkyB has extended its Sky Mobile TV with a new agreement with mobile media company 3 and mobile company Orange. Sky Mobile TV includes a mix of 27 dedicated ‘made for mobile’ channels which will include live news, sport, music, entertainment and documentaries from some of televisions’ biggest brands. All customers on 3 will be able to choose from three themed packs of Sky Mobile TV channels dedicated to news and sport, entertainment and music programmes. The Sky news and sport pack will include programmes such as Sky News, Sky Sports News, Discovery Factual, CNN, Bloomberg, National Geographic and the History Channel. The entertainment pack will include Living, Bravo, E!, Paramount Comedy and the music package will feature Kiss, MTV and Kerrang. The success of Sky Mobile TV has shown there’s a real appetite for innovative services that allow customers to choose when and where they watch.” Head of TV and video for Orange, Deborah Tonroe, said; “Orange TV offers customers the greatest range of channel available on the mobile. We’re allowing people what they want, wherever they are, and we’re being rewarded by impressive viewing figures. Last month alone we hosted 5 million TV sessions across Europe.” |
