Vodafone VPA Compact UMTS (3G Mobile Phone)

Vodafone is introducing the Vodafone Personal Assistant compact during the CeBIT 2005. Despite having the compact size of only 108 x 58 x 18 millimetres (H x W x D), Vodafone's new VPA compact incorporates all the functions of a fully-fledged PDA. The operating system is Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC Phone Edition, and standard applications that comes with this OS, like Pocket Outlook to manager e-mail, calendar and contacts, Pocket Internet Explorer for web browsing, Pocket Word, and Pocket Excel. Powerpoint and PDF documents that are received as e-mail attachments can also be displayed. ActiveSync software enables the synchronisation of diary entries, contact data and task lists with Microsoft Outlook or a Microsoft Exchange Server. The PDA can communicate with other devices via Bluetooth or infrared. The 2.8 inch high-resolution screen has 240 x 320 pixels and 65,536 TFT colours. A 1200 mAh lithium polymer battery provides up to 180 hours of stand-by or up to 5 hours of talktime before it needs recharging. The tri-band phone works with GSM/GPRS connections. The mobile video and music player (MS Media Player, MP3) with exchangeable memory card enables users to watch videos on the high brilliance display or listen to their favourite music. Intel XScale PXA270 400MHz CPU and comes with 64MB, with SD/MMC slot available for memory expansion or for use of other devices compatible with the SDIO standard.
